Monument, CO

Next stop was....Monument, Colorado!
The place we stayed at was beautiful in every way: from the view, to the large house, to the delicious food, to the people we stayed with. The house was only a whoppin' 4,000 sq. ft. with a full 3 bedroom 2 bath, kitchenette, and family room in the basement where our family spent 4 days.

Here are some pictures of the sunset over there, and the flowers.

This is the house we were in!

Mountain view on a 5 mile hiking/walking trail some of us went on while there.

Mockingbird

A huge storm came rolling in!

Sunset the next day from the back of the house

Not sure if you can see very well, but there are 2 orange glowing spots on the bottom of this picture, close to the black hill. It kept flickering as I was watching it, and I asked our host if it was a wildfire out there...which she said she didn't know. It eventually went away, and to this day I have no idea what it was!

Here is a better view of the 'wildfire' hot spots

A dandelion that we held up in a closet with a flashlight on top

There's a 'short' compilation of most of the pictures I took in Monument. Hope you enjoyed them! At this place, I slept like a baby : ) I would go right to sleep when we went to bed, and wouldn't wake up until about 10:00am! It felt so great to get some good rest.

Anyway, next stop....
Fort Collins.

He is worthy and greatly to be praised
